Following the implementation of the New System for Encouraging Foreign Entrepreneurs to Smoothly Start Business by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in 2018, we have since witnessed a steady increase of public sector support towards startups/entrepreneurs in and coming to Japan. Nevertheless, many startups/entrepreneurs still face challenges upon entering the market given the vastly different legal system, startup culture, and business climate. To support startups/entrepreneurs entering Japan on an operational level and to promote collaborations between startups/entrepreneurs and Japanese corporations, AsiaWise Group will conduct a series of seminars in the upcoming months to address the most common challenges startups/entrepreneurs face while providing an insider take on nurturing smooth collaboration with Japanese corporations.
Kicking off the series, Nitta Sosaku and Haruka Koga of AsiaWise Legal Japan will provide a breakdown of the most immediate business decisions facing startups/entrepreneurs when considering market entry – selecting an appropriate legal entity and hiring employees. They will be joined by guest speaker Ms. Fariza Abidova of Trusted Corporation, who will speak of her own experience in building a successful business in Japan from the ground up.

近年、経済産業省により外国人起業活動促進事業の告示がなされ、この告示に基づいて各地方自治体でスタートアップビザ制度が導入される等、外国人による日本での起業活動を支援する動きが見られます。このような動きを踏まえ、AsiaWiseは、日本進出を検討中の海外のスタートアップ企業・起業家をサポートすべく、Japanese Business Law 101を企画いたしました。 第1回のセミナーでは、AsiaWiseの弁護士より、日本における法人設立の概要や起業時に注意すべき労働法の基礎についてご説明いたします。また、セミナーの中では、実際に日本で起業されたスタートアップ企業の方にご登壇いただき、起業時のご経験をお話しいただく予定です。 なお、本セミナーは全編英語で実施いたします（同時通訳はございません）が、会社設立時の基礎について学ばれたい日本企業の方のご参加も歓迎しております。また、法律事務所の関係者に関しては、ご登録をお断りさせていただく場合がございますので、ご了承ください。
